YoLink Door Sensor

The YoLink Door Sensor (YS7704) is a LoRa-powered smart contact sensor designed for monitoring doors and windows with industry-leading wireless range. Operating on the 900MHz LoRa band, it achieves up to 1/4 mile (1,320 feet) open-air range—far exceeding typical Zigbee, Z-Wave, or WiFi sensors.

The sensor consists of two parts: the main sensor unit with integrated reed switch and a small magnet. Installation is tool-free using pre-applied 3M mounting tape. Place the sensor on the door frame and the magnet on the door itself, keeping them within 18mm of each other when closed. Simply press the SET button once to connect to your YoLink Hub.

Key features include door-left-open reminders with customizable timing, instant alerts via app push notifications, SMS text, and email. The sensor supports up to 5 years of battery life using standard AA alkaline batteries—no special batteries required. Low-battery alerts provide advance warning before replacement is needed.

The YoLink system requires a YoLink Hub (sold separately or in starter kits) which connects to your WiFi router. Each hub supports up to 300 YoLink devices. The system integrates with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit (via Matter with newer hubs), Google Assistant, IFTTT, and Home Assistant (native integration via MQTT).

Home Assistant integration works through the official YoLink integration using MQTT on port 8003. Third-party integrations and local API options are also available for advanced users. Note: Some users report status sync issues in Home Assistant that may require integration reloads.

This indoor model is NOT waterproof—for outdoor gates, sheds, and fences, YoLink offers the Outdoor Contact Sensor (YS7707) with IP63 rating. Metal doors may reduce wireless range.

No monthly fees are required—all features including cloud storage, alerts, and remote access are free.
